May 5th is Cinco De Mayo people, so write it down on your calendars!!! You don't want to miss it!
History Alert: Cinco De Mayo celebrates Mexico's unlikely victory over the French forces on May 5, 1862.
But even if your not Mexican, I think its ok to get in on the celebration (kinda like how everyone becomes Irish on St Patricks day). And for those of you who know me well, you know I never pass up on a chance to celebrate. :)
So I thought I'd share a makeup look inspired by Mexico, featuring the colours red, white and green, taken from the Mexican flag.
Products used:
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Ben Nye eyeshadow in Ice
La Femme Blush - red
GOSH pigment in red
Bobbi Brown black eyeshadow
Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Zero
MAC Undercurrent eye pencil
Make Up For Ever - green eyeshadow
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
MAC lashes
Covergirl Lash Blast mascara
Products used on the face:
MAC Sincere blush
La Femme Blush
Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Plus Foundation

I hope you all rock out your red, green and white makeup on May 5th. Or at the very least join me in a margarita and toast to Mexico! Ole!

ReplyDeleteThanks Angele! I just scrolled through the post and that margarita picture is looking really appealing to me right now!
ReplyDeleteActually did this for cinco de mayo. It wasn't as awesome, since I am not a professional make-up artist, but it still came out pretty great.
